Down at Kaen Nakhon Lake today, I noticed some new things while looking out the front and back entrance of Nongwaeng Temple.

By the way, if you've never been to Nongwaeng Temple...

Also, if you don't know how to post a photo or an embedded video on this forum...

They are still working on the lake, but no one seems to know exactly what the finished product is supposed to look like. Now I've heard that in addition to a bridge/walkway that there will be a "floating market".

Sunday is the last day for the agricultural fair at Khon Kaen University. If you've never been, I recommend going.

Also, if you're wondering why you keep hearing firecrackers going off today, it's the start of Chinese New Year.

Maybe this will happen in KKC soon - the Udon Thani airport is being expanded and there is now a Burger King there! Now all they need is a Taco Bell and an Arbys.

A lot of progress is being made with the construction project at Kaen Nakhon Lake. It will be interesting to see what the finished product ends up looking like.

We were in BKK recently. The meter on taxis start at 35 Baht. If you get a taxi to town from the KK airport, you're charged 50 baht just to get in the cab and the meter starts at 40 baht..hmmmmm.
